My cardiologist said my pacemaker is working 8% of the time. Is this normal, low or high? I got my implant just 4 weeks ago.

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.
Sounds good to me

This means that your heart is working without assistance from the PM 92 % of the time. This in turn means that your PM battery won't need changing for quite a few years if you carry on with this low level of usage..
Some people rely on their PMs 100 % of the time , if your figure was 0 % you wouldn't need a PM at all.
It is "normal" for you , you are normal in that you are using it somewhere between 0 and 100 % .
Mine is also working 8% of the time... should we start an
" 8% club " ?
Best Wishes
