Hello :) I am 22 year old female, my name is Janet and I had a pacemaker implantation a week ago. It was okay the 2 days after I got out of the hospital, but on the 3rd day I started experiencing very very severe pains in my RIGHT shoulder. It was impossible to move. It became less severe 2 days after, and now it's back again. Plus, I feel severe pain in my neck (front) and around the throat area. I have trouble moving, walking and always painful each time I try to get up or lay down. All pain becomes OKAY after I lay down for a while. It feels like it's the nerves that are so painful, stabbing kind of pain.
I am wondering whether it's normal after surgery? Anyone ever experienced it? What could it be? I really want to understand the cause, and it would be great if I'm just told that it's normal, then I will suck it up.

1999...fibs started 2000 Fibs ER several times that year medications required 2005 Fibs Hospital 4 days medications changes required .....2007 Fibs ER back tonormal no changes in meds.....2012 Nov. Fibs ER changed meds...
DECEMBER 2 trips 'bout a week apart, 3rd time Dec 28, St Jude PM2110 dual lead pacemaker installed in left front shoulder.
Jan 1,2,3 severe stabbing pain from center chest to left ear everytime I took a little more than a shallow breath..and a worse than sore throat during this period, also....took pain pills for relief to make it bearable. Doc could find nothing and said never had that complaint before....pain while subsiding slowly, lasted til end of February, and since then no pain, but when I have frequent low rate --140/160 fibs . there is a sore throat feeling that accompanies them.........so far, when the pulse rate gets down to 58 the PM kicks in and it returns to no less that 60.... other than these symptoms, I do not feel any benefit such as feeling better or more energetic........but I do not have that squirming jumpy fib like before. So, I guess I needed the thing, wish I could really see myself able to walk a half block without having to hang onto a post or mail box to rest...but I just got no energy at all.
Oh!

my pains resembled sinus infection kinda like coughing did not hurt, but intake of breath did. laying down and rising up hurt but went away after a minute ....when I would take a deep breath is when it would stab me in the middle of my chest and streak up my neck to my left ear and hurttttttttttttt.but would slowly fade away.
Another heart surgeon told me to give it a few weeks, take the extra strength Tylenol [not Aleve] and the pain should "subside"....he said one of the leads was close to or touching a nerve and the nerve would get used to it. Worked for me
