Av node ablation

Had av node ablation and pacemaker inserted 11 days ago. Last night experienced intrinsic beats in between the paced beats. Has anyone experienced this ,I am quite upset.

Intrinsic Beats???

How about some more details about your PM functioning.

1) are you now paced 100%?
2) Why the AV Node ablation?
3) Are the intrinsic beats NORMAL or arrhythmic? Like PVC's, V-Tac or otherwise?
4) What do you mean "...in between..." If you are not paced 100%, you have to have intrinsic beats to fill in the gaps.
5) Do you consider any intrinsic beat to be abnormal? My definition says intrinsic means that they are produced by the native functioning of the heart & may be normal or arrhythmic.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.
