Hi! Blessed K, I have had the ultrasound procedure
While lying down the wand is moved over the specified area(s) of concern. It is uncomfortable wnen the wand is pressed against you on a suspicious spot but not painful
As the technitian told me, "I am not allowed to tell if you have a clot or not, but we won't let you leave if you do
Now, you may get dressed and have a nice day
You may exit to the left." I hope this eases your mind about the procedure. I wish you good news. Hopeful Heart

Two weeks after pm insertion I noticed jugular vein bulging. Went to pacemaker clinic. The surgeon ordered tests. Ultra sound showed clots at acillary vein where the wires went in to the vein. They asked if I had any discomfort in my arm and I told them no. Doctor said to increase warfarin to prevent clotting. That was 4 months ago. I still have a bulging jugular vein when I bend over and when I tighten my chest in a grunt action. Other wise I feel fairly well. I still have unanswered questions about this. The warfarin therapy is likely permanent because I have Afib.
You know you're wired when...
You have rhythm.
