Blister Over Incision

Hi: I am wondering if anyone has had or has heard about the folloowing problem. First of all I am a 82 year old male and I have had two ICD's implanted at the Cleveland Clinc with almost no problems. I had my third ICD implanted here in Florida, on 03/07/13 because I was assured the surgeon had implanted over 10,000. On my 2nd day a blister began forming over the incision site. I began bleeding at night while I slept. At my first site inspection a week after surgery they assured me that the blister would go down. I asked them to drain the blister, they asured me that everything is okay. I am ready for my two week site inspection tomorrow and the blister has not gone down but has filled up. I have some discomfort at the site and my arm but not pain. Has anyone had any problems like this. Would appeicate a reply. DGC

Do you have a fever? Are you feeling alright otherwise?
I would plan on being a little more aggresive in getting answers at your appointment tomorrow.Good luck and let us know.

Had a new pacemaker replacement Mar 21, 2013 and I am getting blisters around the area. Should I contact doctor or is this common?

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
