amusement park

I have a duel pm with ICD, does anyone know if going on roller coasters etc. will be a problem. Want to take my 8 year old grandson.

Thank,
Denise

My EP told me no amusement rides that have shoulder bars or straps! Also vibrations can give you trouble with rate response. You can ride water slides after the pink is gone from incision...

Ask ten drs, get ten answers. I was told I could go on just about anything I want, but I have a pm not icd. I avoid the new ones with magnetic brakes, the magnets are pretty big. They are usually the ones that have really fast start/stop but when in doubt ask the staff.

If you pace with rate response (I do not), then the bumpy older ones will cause your heart rate to go up. Harmless but annoying.

I would not do it the first few months, so if you go the device this year maybe wait until next year to go.

Depending where your device is placed, as Billy said, the shoulder straps may not feel too good.

Went to the amusement park

Well, I did go to the park and went on some rides, nothing crazy. Decided to go on a old style rollercoster, wood style. It shook me up and down and rattled my bones and teeth. I thought I would die! At least new style costers glided! Never again.

I would say not!

I have a dual lead PM and the advice I was given was to avoid all rollercosters/ammusment rides due to the harnesing and magnets they use, also possible impact from sharp breaking could dislodge a lead.

I havent risked it since I had mine fitted 7 mths ago.

You know you're wired when...

You have a 25 year mortgage on your device.
