Hi all and thanks for your best wishes
I had my op last Friday and all went well (I think)
but my shoulder is that sore
it feels like Ive been kicked by a horse
its the muscle thats sore not the stitches
if I lay my arm down at rest its fine with no pain
if I lift my arm up using my other hand its still OK
but if I try to raise my arm under its own power
it bloody well hurts like crazy
is this a normal sympton and will it go away
Just wondering
also they said no driving for a month is that
because of the pain or is it because the PM might go crazy
thanks John

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
It'll get better

Have had my pm a year now, never had any problems or pain with the incision but the shoulder and arm were killers. Was driving and back to work in two weeks but very limited range of motion for a few months. I'm not good at doing as I'm told so probably grabbed a fork to shovel horse droppings too early, but really you just need to listen to your body do what you can and accept that you need time to heal when there are things that hurt...it will come back in time. Don't over do it like I did at the 6 month mark and get frozen shoulder....good luck oh one saying I got out of a horse training book applies to most life experiences. Remember the three T's.....things take time.........best of luck to you
