Hello Yoga friends,
Just started a yoga class lots of stretching etc. Are there any restriction on movements. Had my PM installed January 18, 1913.
Thanks

I just got back into my yoga class this March after my procedure in Oct 2013. I am suffering with shoulder pain too and also going to physical therapy. I find I have trouble with the push-ups into cobra position, but I just use my knees when I have too and watch the left should as much as I need too.
probably not

Some drs are more conservative than others but most of us have no restrictions beyond don't do anything that hurts. When in doubt, ask your doc.
Yoga after implant

I took my first body flow class 5 weeks after my pm implant. I struggled doing a lot of the stretches with my left arm, but only did what I felt comfortable with. I am now 5 mo post implant and still have some minor difficulty with my left arm. Important to know that I also had my rotator cuff operated on years ago which limits my full range of motion. I also have difficulty with my leads that cause me discomfort. If your dr has released you, with no restrictions; do what you are comfortable with. It will take a couple sessions to get back to where you were . Best of luck during your recovery

Thanks for your comment. I have only attended three classes. Yoga although familiar to me; the practice is limited to the current classes. I do work out and run consistently. I avoid lifting too much weight and increased the repetitions with no difficulty. My concern with yoga is the, stretching, pulling on the shoulder and arms extended overhead. Haven't felt any pain concerned about the leads. Do you limit your pulls and stretches.

You run like the bionic man.
