Hi all,
I had my medtronic kappa 900 dr pacemaker implanted surgically and under gen anesthesia due to it placement intramuscular,. Ive had it 10 yrs and im scheduled to get a new one on feb 19th! Im scared because this one has become part of my body the EPS Dr. Said! He has to cut thru 10 yrs of fibrous tissue and hes putting in a different brand? Bio ??? Something? I dunno? Anyways, im scared because he told me "it will hurt much more than last time due to it being in the neves and muscles! " i have a painful , progressive autoimmune/ neurological disease called RSD/CRPS...And it can also spread to my chest wall or/heart anytime or anyplace theres trauma! Im on morphine already for many years so im so I'm afraid they wont be able to control the pain afterwards??! I had nerve zings for a year after he first time....and he says he wont bury it this time like the 1st Dr did & i feel really freaked out if it moves at all afterwards..anyone want to talk with me? Please?
