Should I monitor my heart rate to see if the settings are set correctly?

Thanks so much, I am struggling with fatigue when I am not active. If I try to relax I get fatigued and sleepy, I am very active most of the time but at 64 I need some down time but relaxing is just not comfortable. My concern is my settings are to low, I have an appointment with the Medtronic tech next week what should I ask for?

tell them

Tell your dr exactly what you just told us. Sometimes adjusting the lower rate helps. Also check with your GP, rule out anything else going on.

The best way to see if your settings are correct is to go be active. Go by how you feel, don't obsess over the numbers. If you fatigue easily, if you get dizzy, then check to see what your heart is doing. Otherwise, trust it to do its job.

Having your thyroid levels checked is a good idea. If your levels are off, it will cause cardic issues also you feel drained.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
