Dear all,
There are many questions running through my head and I'm sleeping in fear every night. I couldn't even sleep well. I have the pacemaker implanted on 13 Jan 2013. It was all good till few days back. I started to feel my heart pounding in the middle part and I don't really feel good about it. Also, I feel abit dizzy once I stand up to walk. It didn't happen till recently. I am really worried about it. I checked my pulse and it is normal. I hope there is anyone with experience could help me on this. Thanks.

I had my PM inserted on 24th Jan 2013. I had similar symptoms to what you are describing. The pounding lasted only a short time and have not had it since. My cardiologist explained that when you have been laying down or sitting for a while just sit on the edge of the chair/bed for a few moments until the blood pressure catches up.....this alleviates the dizziness .) Hope this has been of some help.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.

Sorry you are feeling puny. Are you alone ir is doneone there to help? Is there some reason you have not called your EP? Did the hospital or doc give you a list of symptoms that should trigger your contacting them? Surely those that are described would qualify for a ring to the doc. If you have swelling/ fluid build-up, waiting could be very dangerous. Don't tough it out, check it out. Please let us know what you are told. Blessings.
