Hi everyone
Had my PM fitted on 22Jan this year and all going very well. Cycling better than ever.
A number of people expressed concern when I posted recently that my Cardio wanted me to have an MRI. Unfortunately I have been travelling and didn't have time to explain why.
Prior to my PM being fitted ther were some indication of some valve leakage.....and as I had to have my PM fitted urgently (and I have a ST.Jude MRI compatable PM) We ( my three Docs and myself) agreed to do it post PM.
As it turns out all in fact is good and we now know that my heart mevhanically is in great shape (enlarged from a lifetime of competative cycling) but fine in all other aspects.
Incidently, the boot up and switching process carried by the St. Jude tech rep and in the presence of my cardio went fine and the whole process was much better than having an angiogram.....
Best wishes to all

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
