i had a pacemaker fitted over christmas and am not sure if it is the pacemaker or just the way i am. i went to the fireworks display on new years eve and had to leave as i became very week. the next day i felt very weak and exhausted. at the weekend past i went to a local hotel where music was playing in the bar. however i was a good bit away from the music. i didn't feel well and had to go home before it was over. the whole of the next day i was unfit to get out of bed and felt drained. i also heard a funny sound from the pacemaker site which i didn't hear before.

Hi Brendy,
I'm thinking you may need your settings checked as well. Do ask your PM tech about experimenting just a little, especially with your rate response. It may be set too sensitive for you.
I did have some issues during last 4th of July when I attended a fireworks display with a band following afterwards. I didn't have any issues while the fireworks were going on, but did get weird feeling and dizzy during the band (and I love bands!) I was no where close to the speakers either, but it was very loud with lots of bass.
A few days prior to the 4th, I had some bad setting changes. I am 100% paced & dependent with an AV Node ablation. They dropped my rate 10 more bpm, turned on the capture, and changed my rate responses. Those changes were totally wrong for me, especially the rate response (even though I'm very active.) I felt horrible, and couldn't even make it up the stairs. I wasn't able to get the settings changed back to where they were at previously until almost midnight the night before the 4th (it had been a couple of days with bad settings).
It actually took about a day or so for me to really feel "great" again. I'm assuming even though my settings were changed back the night before, I still wasn't feeling "that" great, which may be why I didn't feel well during the band. After that night, I was back to feeling great again. It's scary when your settings aren't right. You can get some really awful and weird side effects.
Last night I went to see Rock of Ages (live show) and did just fine. I was a "little" nervous too, only because I knew if I didn't feel good again, I might not be able to go to any more concerts (which I love!) But, I was fine!
Check with your cardio doc, EP doc, and PM tech to see what they think. Don't hesitate to ask them any questions you have regarding why you don't feel well. It honestly could be as easy as making a setting change to make you feel great, gain more confidence, and go out and enjoy another band, fireworks, or anything else!
PS: I private messaged you as well with more detailed info.
Best of luck!

your PM so I'd get in & get checked. Or it may be a virus but best to be checked. I fond as I got more active I need my settings to be tweaked.
Hope you feel better soon,
