Hello everyone,
I just had my pacemaker inserted last Thursday. My incision site is still very painful, uncontrollable pain. Site looks good and is not infected. I am a 37 year old registered nurse female. I have been icing the area and still no luck and now I think my shoulder is frozen. Any help thanks.

Any meds?

Were you not given any pain meds? I was on oxycodone for a couple weeks. I tried going off it once before I had used up the meds, and my incision started throbbing, so I resumed taking them. I was also given some gentle arm exercises by the occupational therapist to prevent a frozen shoulder.

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.

You shouldn't have uncontrollable pain...that doesn't sound right. A little uncomfortable but not uncontrollable. You should see your doctor. It will ease your mind too.
Hope you have some comfort soon,
