tight stomach

I have had my pacemaker for appx 1 month now, but ever since I had the surgery my stomach seems to feel so tight and it very uncomfortable, not nausea. Could the pacemaker have something to do with this feeling?

Maybe you're just uptight about the pm

There's an emotional component that the docs don't talk about. You have to get use to havi g a pm and ur body has to adjust. Certainly you can have the tightness in yr stomach Che led out but my guess is its nerves.

Me too!

The same thing happened to and what I found out was that I was having trouble with bowel movements thanks to the pain killers I had taken post surgery.
Hope this helps

I can relate

My pacer used to stimulate my diaphgram as well as my heart. It was like hiccoughs. I told my Medtronics guy about it and he said it was unusual and shouldn't be happening since only my atrial lead was firing. But, since I couldn't sit up without the pacer grabbing my diaphragm, he tried turning down my amplitude. IT WORKED!! I've been fine since. I was set at 3 when I had problems. I'm at 2 now and feel much better. Does the sensation go away when you're not pacing? If so, you may have the same problem I had. Hope you feel better.
