Dizziness and fainting spells

I have had a pacemaker since October 2008. However in the last 2 weeks I have had several dizzy spells and fainted once... the doctors seem to say nothing is wrong... Do I have to persist and ask for more tests, change the settings?

What about wearing a Holter Monitor at the very least.

What does your cardio suggest? Maybe he can refer you to an ENT, Neurologist or some other type of doc its not heart related.

Don't give up. Please be careful driving if you do it alt all.

Hope you get an answer soon,

Janet

I would get a second opinion

Dont let doctors dismiss your concerns or symptoms. It is your life in the balance trust your intincts and keep going until you get answers. when was your last echo done. it is more likely something besides your pacer. I am not a doctor just a patient with CHF and am 100% dependent on my pacer. good luck

Thank you Janet

Definitely keep looking for answers!! It's easy to blame the pm but there are a lot of things that can cause dizziness and fainting. First see if the pm recorded anything when it happened. Bloodwork. Tilt test. Check your diet, make sure you're staying hydrated and eating regularly. Any new meds?

Thanks all

You know you're wired when...

Your signature looks like an EKG.
