rate response

If you use rate response, it's possible that driving on a bumpy road will make the pm think you are exercising and raise your hr. Talk to your dr, there are sensitivity settings that can be adjusted so it's less sensitive.
Just an occasional bump in the road shouldn't have any effect.

They should be able to tweak it so it's not so sensitive. Or consider that your daily workout! lol

hi, they are no more than little country lanes really with a fen and veg fields either side. i have to use them ... no other way. it is 8 miles to the dr,butcher or shop. it started 2 weeks after i had my PM. it makes me feel as though im going to burst open! no pain ,just a really weird feeling. as soon as i stop or hit a flat road it goes. its so bad if they cant tweek it i would think of moving to another house !. hope you are well. many thanks for careing, kate
It's probably the rate response

I had the same problem. I told my PM tech and he was able to adjust the rate response to decrease the sensitivity.

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
