18mo update

Hi all - it's been 18mo since my dual chamber PM implant. I'm a 37yo male in Texas. I've since had a cardiac ablation for a high-side arrhythmia (270bpm during strenuous workouts).

Through all of it I've been swimming 3x/week for about an hour each session.

I just participated in a 2 kilometer swim race on our downtown lake and placed in the middle overall and middle for my age group.

I also played 2hrs continuous pick-up basketball this week.

In addition to all of this I bike about 1 mile each way with my kids to their school in the mornings.

I had no idea I'd be able to do all of these things, and frankly I think I'm in much better overall physical health since before I got the PM.

You can do it!

Cheers, Pete

Hi Pete. I'm inspired of your activities. I just got my PM last Saturday. Pre-PM days, I am actively participating in running, trekking, badminton and squash. I can't wait to be super mobile again. But I admit I'm going to some depressing days to think that my left arm (PM) has to rest. I cannot imagine hitting some balls with my right only.

You know you're wired when...

You play MP3 files on your pacer.
