I got a new icd and a lead Wednesday. I spent the night in the hospital got home Thursday around 1. I'm sore and taking it easy. My papers said 4-6 weeks. I'm doing what my d/c instructions say. I don't want to mess up my new lead. I was in surgery 3 hours and I am still weak feeling.
my husband's been waiting on me. He helped bath me earlier, not taking advantage of him. I'm very lucky n bleased to have him. I slept in the lazyboy chair last night. and I may try to sleep in the bed tonight. they gave me loritabs for pain., and some antibotics to take. The fractured lead was causing havoc with my heart. It feels normal now and beating without any strange beats now. Message me how your doing.

Usually for a replacement the recovery is much shorter that the original placement. Unless they need to replace any leads you won't have the restrictions that you had before.(not that I told my husband that. It was nice having him carry the groceries/laundry, etc. for a few weeks) You may be able to return to work after a day or two, it just depends on if you're in pain or not.
