The pace maker was put in because the pulse was too low. The top chamber of the heart was not closing properly. Today I felt like it was a thump. Am I suppose to feel when the pacemaker kicks in? My routine is the same.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
Call Doctor

Hi Miss J,
You should not feel it. You might be feeling a PAC, or you might need an adjustment in the pacing settings; I take it you have not had the PM for long?
Call your doctor and describe it to him; he may want you to come in for a pacer interrogation.
Good luck-
