Sivk Sinus Syndrome
How long does it take to get strength back after getting pacemaker and experienceing AFIB attacks Its been 6 weeks now and I am still weak and not myself. Cant go back to work yet not enough strength. Can someone tell me when. I am on blood thinners, no medications like antiarrithymtic drugs I Ihave alot of skipping the beat and fluttering but when I go back to doc on November 15 I hope he dont put me back on Sotalol and just lets me see how I get along on my own. Does anyone just have a pcemaker and NO MEDS but blood thinners

Sure. In fact I have a pacemaker and no meds including blood thinners. I have AV block, but no AFIB which is the reason you are likely getting the thinners. It's also likely that the AFIB is involved in your lack of strength.

If you can live with your a fib without taking anti-arrythmic drugs it makes sense to still take thinners.
If you are having problems with your beta blocker, Sotalol. I would ask your doc to try a different type of anti-arrythmic drug. If you find one that works for you you could end up feeling better with no afib and you may be able to stop the thinners.
Best of luck

Thanks to all who answered and told me their stories. I hope to not have to take any meds. The blood thinnerss make me nervous, but the flipping and fluttering inside my chest I am afraid the Doc will want to put me back on the Sotalol or some other kind of meds I have been going to cardiac rehab and I am getting stronger, its now been 8 weeks today. I walk two miles on treadmill and do the bike for 20 minutes. My heart will jet up to 135 then go back down to 70's. I do get afraid when it gets up that high for fear it will keep going like it did in the 220/s for days..

I have sss allso. No meds or thiners. It took me a few months befor I felt stronger. Its been 18 months now and doing good. Its been a long 18 months sleeping issues mood swings sore left arm. Perservierance one day at a time. See your PM tech and look at some setting changes. When I first had mine done I thought I would be well overnight ha not so. Again take it easy on yourself rest walk and do your life more or less like you would normally.
Time is the key. You will get there
