Hi there
I had my dual chamber PM fitted on 25th July 2012 due to Tachy/brady syndrome. I have recovered OK and feel much better. The world is a different place when you are not lightheaded all the time. My question is this, how long does the discomfort and pain last. I have quite a bit of discomfort from the device and it can be very irritating and annoying. I also get like sharp stabbing pains around the incision site and what feels like a pulling or a stretching. I sometimes can't lie on my left side because of the discomfort and pain. I have also developed a keloid at the incision site which I am rubbing cortisone cream into which has helped. Can anyone let me know if what I am experiencing is 'normal' or not unusual? My PM was fitted under my pectoral muscle.
Thanks

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.

Hey Kerrie,
I just had my surgery on 8-31 and I am also still having a lot of discomfort also. I seem to have it right in the area between my arm and chest like I have a pinched muscle. I am still having discomfort and soreness at the incision area although it has healed nicely I still have a stinging or burning feeling in this area too. Does anyone know how long before this goes away?
Thanks
