Many of us are concerned about the impact of weight lifting after a installation of a pacemaker.
My pacemaker was 'installed' in Oct. 2012 to treat 'vaso vagal syncope'. I was concerned about whether i could resume my normal weight training.
Basically, i have no restrictions except wieght-bearing exercises requiring extending my arms over my head, such as over-the-head shoulder presses, lat pull-downs,pull-ups, etc.
My advice is to consult with your EP physician and/or CCDS and ask him/her to draw a picture of how the leads run. It is very helpful in understanding the impact of certain exercises and what you should and should not do.

I do hand weights and 1st cardio doc never said anything. But I notice with my 2nd pacemaker, I do not have the same range of motion for certain weights. I was doing pilates machines and would do certain moves now not too sure. My new doc said flys not good. I stick to bisceps curls and triceps moves. Good luck with your training. I am just a wantabe.
