Need Technical info

I have had a st jude pm2110 pacemaker for a month. I want to find an information source that will teach me about its functioning. I am a former computer programmer, now retired, and worked with many devices. Is there a technical manual available?

When you get your PM report, see all the parameters listed there and begin to research those.

Call the tech services number listed on your PM card or 1-800-722-3774 and ask the techs who are located in CA for whatever you want to know. I think they will be your best friends on getting technical info on your 2210, which I have also.

Tech Manual

Sally Computer Geek: Go to left side of page. Click on "Web Links" Wallow your way through to St Judes, grub around til you find the Tech Manual section. There should be one that's a couple hundred pages & will keep your little old retired heart happily throbbing for at least 5 minutes.

I have a Medtronic & found a 344 page saga describing all the inner workings of mine.

There is a lot of information on the St Jude website (http://health.sjm.com) but I don't know how technical it gets. Does a St Judes rep do your checks? If yes, that's who I'd ask.

thanks for the info

I'm a hardware/software engineer and have had the Medtronic technical manual for my pacers since 2004. They are quite a device.

Be sure to ask for a copy of the Initial Interrogation and Final Report at your next checkup. You may have to insist, but they should be willing to give it to you. This will give you settings and data on your pacer, and you can then relate it to the manual.

I was able to modify an instrumentation system I had laying around the shop to make it function as an ECG. By running the sample rate up to 2048/sec I can watch the activity of the pacer.

If you need any help in understanding the basics of the device and it's interface with the heart drop me a note.
