I have had my pacemaker since June 14. I am
left-handed and so the pacemaker was placed
on my right.
My incision has healed completely but I am experiencing very painful stabbing and burning sensations around the
pacemaker area (on the right). What is this?
Is this normal? How long will this last?

Hi! You used the words 'stabbing' and 'burning'. You seem to be accepting of your device, so if you are having symptoms that concern you, even if it just eases your mind, please consult with your medical care. Also, sometimes notation by your medical care of your current symptoms can aid in a needed diagnosis/treatment in the future. Take care of yourself, and I hope you are feeling great soon. That can be the nerves knitting back together, which is normal. If it's very painful, as opposed to annoying to mildly painful, I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side.
