Curious as to when most people remove the bandage from the surgery site. Also how long has everyone waited to get their surgery site wet. My discharge paperwork says to wait a week to get it wet. It will be 13 days (this Wednesday) for my second follow up with my local cardiologist. He will remove my staples at that time. Thanks

Pull it off. It's not doing anything but aggravating you at this point. I remove bandages in the clinic all the time when it's been 7 days.
no bandage

My lead replacement was a week ago and doc used dermabond and no bandage. I have been getting it wet since I got home.

3 days is pretty standard before you remove the bandage and about 7 days before you start getting it wet. at 13 days your in good shape. Let them take out the staples of coarse

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.

When wed's for my first Dr visit since Pacemaker ,8 days and my Dr said the bandage would come off by itself when I shower and he said to shower and not to worrie about getting the bandage wet. So I have been showering and still waiting for the bandage to fall off ,by the looks of it maybe tomorrow it will come off. I guess all Dr's are different because my dr said to let it come off by itself. Take care AL
