I had a combination defibillator/pacemaker ICD implanted on August 1, 2012. Although I have healed reasonably well I am now experiencing muscle pain in my left shoulder joint close to the incision. Perhaps I am still in the healing process! I have been cleared by the surgeon to go back to cardio rehab but when I saw the surgeon for a check up I was told that one of the wires had to be calibrated because I had raised my arm a little too soon and was given one more week of NOT raising the arm above the shoulder. I expect the muscle discomfort will go away eventually. What have others experienced after their implant? Glad I found this site to post and receive posts. .

My shoulder was so sore after my implant that I had trouble sitting up. It was very achy... I had a tough time.
I kept my left arm very still for about 10 days and when I started to move it boy did it hurt. It's been 4 months and I'm back to normal.
