waves of fatigue is this normal

its been 5 weeks since my pm implanted im getting better still dizzy and have periods of breathlessness a kind of tension and terrible fatigue when I just have to lie down is this normal in early recovery have my first check next week so glad for this site

Fatigue is certainly a normal part of the healing. It's never the same for everyone though. Some people are full of energy a week after surgery and then others take a couple of months.

Some get a pacemaker to correct a very slow HR so when they get their PM and start pacing at a more normal rate, they feel quite energized. Some, like myself have other bigger heart problems that cause fatigue.

Luckily you have a check up coming up soon and you can ask about it to make sure your recovery is going as it should.
