Anyone else have small shocks or tingles

I occasionally have a series of small shocks which seem to be near my device leads. Has anyone experienced this and do you have an explanation?

shocks/tingles

How long have you had your device? Have you had your first checkup yet? Regardless, if I were you, I would contact whomever takes care of you & your device and explain to them what you are feeling. I'm guessing but it could be a lead, settings not properly adjusted or nerves that were cut trying to heal.

I had what you described too and it ended up being a bit of nerve damage - with time it went away.

Call your doc and see what he/she has to say.

Keep us posted?

Take care & good luck,
Pookie

At last someone else is having this also !!! I’m having the same problem as you.. Didn’t you think at first you were crazy and it was in your head ha-ha.. I have been dealing with this for a couple months now and my Drs look at me like im crazy !! That’s funny you should say about the TENS unit shocks as that is how i told my husband it fills. Sometimes i will also get a really hard shock that REALLY gets my attention. I have had my PM a year now and this has just started up. Also i am in Cardiac Rehab and they have noticed i am getting a lot of Pacemaker spikes now, but im not sure what that all means..

Still wondering.

I have had this CRT device for over a year. The little shocks come and go for me and are not on a daily basis necessarily. Both my EP and cardiologist brush it off as probably nothing other than nerve damage, but if that is the case, why is it not a constant event.? It is something that i can live with, but I would like to have an answer so I do not worry.

I was told it was nerve ending, i dont believe it. At times it will start up where it will shock me for a couple secs and this will go on for some time and than stop and come again so many hrs later.

replaced leads

The first time I had my shocks, my doctor thought I was nuts! But I was persistant on how it was bothering me. Finally, my doctor brought in a PM Specialist from the PM company to check my PM out. Low & behold, I was getting actual electric shots because the lead on my PM was freyed! I needed to have my leads & PM replaced. Believe it or not, a few years later it happened again! I began to have electric shots again. My doctor immediatley brought in the PM Specialist from the PM company and again, my leads were fractured & needed to be replaced. Although it is rare, it happens and to me, it happened twice. Please be persistant with your Doctor to make sure you are not being shocked due to freyed leads.
