pacemaker hurting

Has anyone had their pacemaker for over 5 years?  I am going on 11 years in December. 

In October 2011 I had my gallbladder removed.   In January 2012 I started to have pacemaker pain.  Since then I have gone to the local ER 2 times and saw my pacemaker doc/nurse 2 times.  Has any one young or old ever experienced this?

scar tissue?

Mine started to ache after about 10 years, but I'd had it replaced 3 times. Last time I had it replaced, a plastic surgeon cleaned up the scar tissue and now it's comfortable again. Doesn't sound like the same thing, but I thought I'd put it out there.

Why did you have your pacemaker to begin with? What model is it?

What did the ER and your pacemaker doc/nurse have to say was the cause of your pain?

at times mine aches for a few days but it goes away. i have had it 6 years in august. yours sounds like it is more often tho. keep on asking them questions and dont take no for an answer as you should not be bothered this much from what i understand. take care jessie
