I had the same problem with FIOS yesterday, but my PM is a St. Jude's. It seems the device is designed to work with analog phone systems. After much discussion with the tech support people at SJ, it was decided that I should turn off all computers and televisions in the house. At this point, the cardiologist's office confirmed they were receiving the transmissions. This is really unbelievable that medical technology is behind that of the rest of the world.

While the light remains on on the unit, the only way I can find out if it is sending information for sure is to call the doctor's office, or maybe the tech people again. My other option is to have an "analog" phone line installed...

I am having other problems with my PM, but will address these in a separate post.
