HurtHeart, thanks for the information. That is really pretty scary when you look @ it this way, but hopefully, it has been sufficiently tested. I think I probably am one of the guinie (sp) pigs too. My EP lit up like a Christmas tree when I asked him about it. Unfortunately, he probably thought I had researched it, but I had only seen an advertisement that said "ask your doctor about an MRI compatible PM". Dumb just asked. I love, love, love my doctor, but I did not recieve any information at all about the difference. He showed me the standard one & told me mine would be bigger in diameter & in thickness, but not tremendously.

I am very encouraged by the post from this group. I think I'm going to make it.
