Just got my pacemaker (Boston scientific S606) implanted on March 26,12 for tachybrady-syndrome and chronotrophic incompetence. Its a DDDR, which after doing some research actually makes sense to me now. I was able to return to work two weeks post op, but am nervous about my first outpatient checkup to check the settings in July. I definetly feel a lot better. But sometimes i notice my HR up in the 120-130s and I am not doing anything strenuous. My settings are set at 70/130. Does this mean I have to get them changed? And what actually happens when my HR goes above 130? I know if it goes below seventy the pacer kicks in...this is all so new to me. Never thought I'd have a pacer at 26. But I guess with my Heart Disease it needed to be done. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I dont go in for my appt until july. I will ask to get it changed then. Its so weird even just turning in bed, by HR increases. But overall I feel so much better in the last two months post procedure. Definently should have gotten this done sooner but my nerves wouldnt let me. I was so nervous! Ill keep you posted.
