It's me again!

I first would like to say that I am so happy I found this site. To me it is such a life saver. I went back to my heart doctor today.I didn't see my doctor just the NP. Running a low grade temp as well as site being really tender. The site is still hot to touch. She seemed to think it was just inflamed. The swelling goes up my neck.Gave me celebrex for the swelling. She didn't seem real worried about the temp. Anyone else have this problem?

An infection in the pacer pocket isn't somethng to mess with. Especially in the early healing stages the infection can follow the leads entry point into the blood vessel. This can rapidly become serious.

In any case if you have more than just very mild fever or if you have chills get to ER or Urgent Care quickly.

Get a dr that will take you seriously NOW. You have the signs of an infection. Hopefully that's not what it is, but if it is you need to get it treated asap.

I would be going for a 2nd opinion or even a 3rd because if you have an infection, Celebrex ain't gonna cut it....you probably need an antibiotic.

Don't wait, call your doctor asap.

I'm not a doctor but I know enough that a low grade fever and your pacemaker site is hot to touch isn't something to be ignored.

I don't know where you live, but since it is the weekend, do you have access to something like Urgent Care or just go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.

I would go and see my local GP
