Still hot to touch!

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the help with my last problem. I was having problems with my pm site getting hot. Went to the ER and they said I didn't have an infection. However the site is still getting hot. My cardio said it will go away with time. My regular doctor thinks the pacemaker will have to come out he has told me not to go to far from home because he is worried that it will have to come out soon. My regular doctor has tried to set me up with a different cardio doctor but nobody will take me because of the risk. So I guess my question is should I be worried about the fever as long as there is no redness?

Not running a body fever is good but why the pacer site is still hot to the touch is strange.

Is it possible that the pacer itself is heating up and not working properly. Don't mean to scare you but it almost sounds like its overheating.

And if your cardio says it will go away in time? Did he explain what was causing it?

Can you call the manufacturer and ask to speak to a rep and tell them the story? You need another opinion definitely.

Thanks!

Thanks for helping that has lifted a weight like you would not believe. I have called Medtronic's and was informed that this is not something that should be going on. I have a call into the doctor. Will see what he wants me to do. Not going to let this slide now that I know it should not be doing this. The people on this site are so helpful. Thank you Sue.

Not running fever anywhere but the pacemaker site. I called fever....Should not have used that word...Heat at the site is a better way of saying it...Sorry for the confussion!

Unless I'm way off base here, why are you running a fever. Have any of the doctors checked that out.

Fever is usually a sign there is an infection somewhere...

Be persistent and get yourself checked out.

Good luck,

Magster

So glad I could help.....and be sure to tell your doc you spoke to Medtronic rep just to be sure and tell him their comment. I have found the Medtronic reps so helpful and really care. Had one rep call me back when they couldn't answer me right away. Called next day with answer.

And the people on here? Without a doubt the best support system going.

Please let us know how you make out...

Good luck...

Sue

I went to the heart doctor today and the NP was not to concerned. She said it looked inflamed. So she gave me meds to keep the the inflamation down. While there was running a low grade temp. She didn't seem to be worried. So not sure how this is going to play out. Anyone else have this kind of problem?

You know you're wired when...

You play MP3 files on your pacer.
