Writing to you from the hospital bed.

Well I had my angiogram and am now in the observation area for the next 4 hours. Don you were right ... Once again. I worked myself up into a frenzie for nothing. The test went so very well. I didnt feel a thing.

The hole in my heart is so insignifigant nothing needs to be done to fix it. Mt ejection fraction is good and the slight enlargement from my heart is probably from the surgeries i had when i was little. Other than that my coronary arteries are perfect. My valves are all working beautiful and my pulmonary artery is great.

I just have to be followed up every year to make sure my lower chaber does not enlarge anymore than it is. But apparently it has been this way for many years. But was never mentioned because it is so slight the enlargement.

Thank you all for taking yhe time to listen

Two ways to look at it

What a relief that all went well.

or

Why were you subjected to a risky procedure when there was no reason for it.

and

Now they have another cash cow hooked on annual repeats.

This is what had driven our medical costs out of sight. Its good marketing psychology that has been well studied.

I know, I'm just that crazy frank who keeps looking for such things.

Lower Chamber Monitoring

by donr - 2012-12-01 01:12:29

Crystal: How do the plan yto monitor the lower chamber size? W/an Echocardiogram, I hope. Shouldn't take anything more invasive than that.

Frank: I'm inclined to agree w/ you about the necessity for the Cath. If they have been monitoring it as they should for all the yrs since she was a child, they should have KNOWN how much it was enlarged & how fast it was enlarging.

One of the advantages of being able to keep the same cardio for a long time - they are aware of these things. I've had the same one for all ten yrs of using a cardio. I have two paper files, each 2" thick. He can find anything in his notes when he needs a history of something.

I will find out on Wednesday !

by mantarle - 2012-12-01 05:12:31

I have an appointment with my cardio on Wednesday to discuss all these small details. I think they are going to do the further monitoring by Echocardigram.

I dont know why they asked for a Angiogram if they knew about the enlargement before hand... I will make it a point to ask them why though !

Thanks for the wonderful support ! I am feeling much better today :) . I am amazed by how much stress can affect your body though ... I have not had this many aces and pains ever !

I'll keep you posted on how my appointment goes wednesday !
