Worst month of my life had a pacemaker inserted on 2nd march 2012 bloody painful under local. Didnt feel any benefit at all in fact got a staph infection with a cpr of over 200.
!2th March pacemker removed iv antibiotics for 3 weeks in hospital then oral for a week at home now cpr is 11 and they want to put it back.
Frankley I don't want it as over half the people in my ward had pacemker problems requiring surgery from faults to infections.
Any thoughts either way

I don't know where you are in the world, but if you NEED to have pacemaker surgery (including if you decided to have it because it would give you a safer outcome), I would ask to have it at a different hospital. In the UK you can request any hospital you like. Some specialise in pacemaker implants, some don't. Don't know what the rules are in the US.
Hang in there

Sorry to hear this. Just had my PM/ICD replaced in Jan. under local and it was not painful at all. The only thing I can think of is to make sure you have a competent EP doing the work. Just like anything there is a big difference from one Doctor to the next. Can't imagine why it would be very painful. Lots of pushing and such but no real pain. Best wishes.

Marssa is absolutely right. Insist that you have the PM fitted at a different hospital AND by a different Dr
It is estimated that I in 3 of us are "staph carriers" ie we have staph on our skin and in our noses although we are not ill. It is possible that your Dr or anaesthetist could be.Staph Carriers and could be infecting patients....this can cause havoc in hospitals
Or there may be a Staph outbreak in your hospital ...cause unknown . In either case you would be better off going somewhere else.

The different machines employed for workout for example machine, tread mill etc aim at repetitive workouts. The boxing mayweather vs cotto tools will also be used to be able to maintain health and fitness as well as for training. Individuals who wish to perform home improvement exercise to keep normal health may use these facilities along with a membership inside a boxing club or gym isn't a must for implementing them.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
Why did you have it ?????

Hi Dave ... welcome to the club and sorry that your early experiences have been so bad .( I too live in Bucks by the way )
It is certainly not normal for half the people in the ward to have infection problems ... infection can occur with PM implants but shouldn't if the surgeon uses antibiotic prophylaxis in the PM pocket..and uses basic pre-operative cleanliness measures ..you have been very unlucky !
When you say you don't want your PM , you didn't say why you had it fitted in the first place ... could it be a little thing like keeping you alive by any chance ??
Cheers
Ian
