Another clot...

Hi all,
Had to return to ER yesterday, they discovered another clot in my arm. Still feeling really bad with a lot of pain. Finally getting meds straightened out.

Thanks to all who have checked on me!

Hi! You seem to be having so much clotting trouble. Wondering if some of the continued trouble could be medication related and/or another underlying health issue. Worried about you. Hope you get an answer and resolution soon. Hopeful Heart

Too many clots

by Shortcake - 2012-06-28 09:06:39

Hi Hopeful Heart,
I have never had a problem till they changed my pacer and replaced 2 leads on June 7. They also put in a central line. They say the clots came up because of this. They told us with lead changes (and especially where you have multiply leads, I have 4) and the use of a central line the risk of developing clots is extremely high. I think it's somewhere in the fine print of the permission to treat form that we sign. :)
However now they are saying I may have to stay on Coumadin or use lovenox before my surgeries. It's amazing to me how these things developed even in places they weren't poking around in!

Thanks for your concern, don't know what I did before I found this site. Wish I had found you guys years ago!

Hi Susan,

All of our prayers and blessings are with you! Glad to hear you're feeling a little better today. It's a start. :)

You know you're wired when...

You invested in the Energizer battery company.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
