Left chest pain under ribs

PM insertion on 3-12-12 after complete heart block 3 days after aortic valve replacement. Have a St Judes PM and all has been going well. Then 4 days ago started having an intense sharp pain under left side of my rib cage. Any ideas or similiar experiend happened to any one else?

I had mine inserted back in April. Once in a while I still get super sharp pains in my mid-chest and left chest area, sometimes lower. They seem to come in waves. I won't have them for a while, then all of the sudden, I'll get them every 5 or so minutes for about an hour, sometimes more. They are coming less frequently now, so it must just be a temporary thing or part of the healing process.

My cardiologist & EP both say they really don't know what exactly it is but it seems to be common in people with PM's & CRT-P/Ds, especially for the first 3 months or so.

I'd mention it to your EP or cardiologist, just in case yours is something more serious than mine. Hopefully, it's not, but it's always a good idea to check.

I do know that there have been a lot of posts asking the same question, so that shows it's happening to more than just us.

Hopefully, you'll get some other responses with some more ideas on what it could be.

surg only 2 weeks ago, should i be worried, with pain under left breast in rib area is like a bulled muscle feeling kinda weird like i need to sit up strighter and cant
