Settings are individual. This may be the default setting for your pacer. BUT I figured my EP had an idea what I needed. I can't imagine questioning what I barely know about. I lived with my first settings until I got my first interrogation and then we together worked on the settings we eventually settled on.
Yours sound fine but not knowing you and not having an advanced degree who knows?
Good luck with this. When do you see your MD next.

Those settings are likely the factory default settings. Here's the take on them.

The Lower Limit of 60 is fine as long as it doesn't affect your sleep. I have mine set to 55.

The Upper Tracking Limit of 120 is OK if you are not an active person. The affect of the limit is to cause your heart to skip beats or become erratic if you hit the limit. Unless you have some serious underlying heart condition, there is no reason the upper limit can't be raised to 130, and if you are active then 140 or higher would make life more fun. Keep in mind that setting it to 140 doesn't mean your HR is going to regularly go there. It just allows it to if needed.

I am 82 yrs and have my upper tracking limit set to 150 which is well above my target limit for exercise. I just take responsibility for keeping it in range just like would do without a pacer.

So bottom line if you find yourself getting short of breath climbing stairs etc. then look at having it raised.

hope this helps,

frank

If you exercise or are very active, you are going to want to raise that upper limit.

I am 56 year old male, I go running 4X per week. My lower is 60, my upper is 160.

Settings are based off the individual and your situation. Mine is 60/120 but others are totally different, I was lucky the first attempt worked just fine. It is best to sit with Dr and figure out what is best for you as any slight adjustment can be the difference between night an day. Hope this helps.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
