Pacemaker Pain

I am having bad pain in my pacemaker area. It started about yesterday. I have had it since November don't know why it is hurting? Like a stabbing sharp pain. Any advice?

I suggest the same thing........do you think it has moved? Did you happen to use that arm a bit more than usual? At least if you go to the ER, they could probably take an Xray to see if it has moved and that the leads are still in place. If anything for peace of mind.

Keep us posted!!!!!!!!

An alternative possibility

Jennifer: is the pain constant or coordinated w/ your heart beats? If it's in coordination w/ your heart beat & in the pM pocket area it's possible that you have a imperfect lead & your Pm is in a workaround mode, using your body for the return electrical path. I had that once & they found a broken lead.

Did it start right after you fired your husband's new shotgun?

I thought maybe I over did it yesterday. So I decied to try and sleep if off. I have been picking up my 3 year old a ton here lately. Went to sleep and woke up in worse pain than before I went to sleep. I feel like I am going to get sick I am in such pain. I know I need to go to the er but I just hate all of the hospitals around here. Unless your dying they don't do anything for you except draw your blood and make you wait 5 hours, tell you to go home and take some asprin. My doc has told me not to be picking her up. But she is my baby and I can't help it! Espically when she is feeling bad. I will probaly go anyways..

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
