second pacemaker same pain

My first St Jude pacemaker was installed in Jun 2007 - No problems till beginning of this year when I started having pain in PM site. The pain got severe and I was given pain medication till they replaced the unit in March. Again no problems till recently.  Same pain starting again.

The surgeon said the leads were recalled but they didn’t change them because it is a serious operation and no one else complained of pain associated with them. The 2007 leads are 1888tc/52 & 7020/60.  Is anyone else having similar problems?

I had PM inserted 3 months ago after complete heart block following aortic valve replacement. Been feeling pretty good until last 5 days or so. Having same type of severe chest pain that seems to radiate under left rib cage even pain meds don't control! Wondering if lead bad or wire loose very frustrating and going to have to call Dr tomorrow
