Tightness in shoulder and sore

Hello all,
I'm a 33yr old male and former athlete and baseball coach. Unfortunately, I have autonomic dysfunction that causes my heart rate to drop to the 30's. My pacemaker has kept me from passing out. But, I have done some pushups, bicep curls, and just normal lifting and leaning on my left arm and I have had bad pain for weeks now. I feel a tug every time I reach or stretch and even when I breathe deeply. I hope I don't need to get it repositioned. My docs say I may have bruised the pocket.

Any advice or experience with this?

Give it some time

You may just need to give it time to heal. Like any surgery there can be an adhesion that a new motion has pulled loose. these can be sore for a few weeks, but unlikely to happen again. It's best to keep the area moving to prevent another adhesion to form.

When you feel a tug, or any other sensation when you reach or move....listen up...your body may be giving you a hint...stop it! Too soon! Go slower! Wait! Be patient!

Hey., I didn't think it was good to lift weights., you said
Curls on your biceps, is that with weights. After a long longperoid after having my icd implant I used a girly 5 pound for my flabby arms. You may ask your doc if your allowed to use weights.

Yeah, I have rested it and stayed away from any type of working out since February. But here I am 8 months post surgery and I'm still having issues. it even hurts to drive with my left arm.

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.
