Hi all
I had my PM put in on Jan 30 and on the 7th had it checked and staples taken out and steri strips put on. No it feels stiff and like it wants to get out, also now feels sore towards armpit. I know the stiffness is prob the site healing but does this feeling of this uncomfortable lump ever go away. Thanks all, on the plus side it's working the way it should they told me, actibe 72percent of the time or something like that. I feel dumb about this .

Sounds normal to me

I had my pacemaker put in on Jan 31st and had a visit yesterday with the EP.
He said it normal to feel it move around a bit until it makes a capsule in the pocket he created. It's not going anywhere just settling in.
I think the LUMP of the pacemaker will settle down once it's entirely healed. This is only really week 1. Give it a chance.
I would say maybe after six weeks you'd feel more like normal. This is coming from the nurse in me.
I can feel mine when I move that shoulder and it's freaky but I assume there is a learning curve we have to go thru before it seems part of us.
Good luck. BUT IF you have redness or fever or swelling or drainage of course see you MD immediately.

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.
