I have bradycardia. I had a biotrinik evia put in 6 days ago. Immediately after the surgery I felt like I was being electrocuted with every heartbeat. I screamed bloody murder, no one could help me for 5 hours. Finally, my friend physically went to the. E.r. And grabbed a Dr. They gave me so many pain med's it put me into respiratory failure. They bagged me, then antitote, the pain continued. I was sent home from the ICU yesterday, still out of breath, need help to sit up. I have the same sensation when I lay on my right side, poop, (any exertion), sometimes when I am simply talking. The cardiologist has not returned my phone call, neither has the hospital. I'm scared and in pain. I know my chest and lungs are raw from screaming, but I still feel electrocuted several times a day. Please help?

I am horrified at your story and beg you to PLEASE get to a RESPONSIBLE cardiologist!!! I don't know where you are but this IS NOT normal! My mother just had hers impanted on the 23rd of January and yes is having some healing issues, but her pm is working beautifully! She has a Medtronic Sure Scan. I will pray for you please let us know how you are God Bless You!

I have a Biotronik also but I've never experienced anything like you're having. Please get yourself to another cardiologist and hospital asap. You have been treated disrespectfully, remember you have rights, and deserve to be treated honorably. Don't accept the okie dokes, this is your body and you do know how you feel.
OMG!

I see by your Bio that you are in AZ. I would go to the ER of the largest teaching hospital you can get too. They have to treat you & they will call the cardiologist on call & he or she will show up. Hopefully, it is not the cardiologist that has been ignoring your call. Obviously I would not go to the hopspital you were in. I ( or ask a relative or friend) to contact your State Medical Board ( run by the state licensing board) & report the 1st cario & hospital. If not enough response from them, hire a lawyer.
Good luck. Hope your feeling better by time you see this. Let us know what you did & what the results wre.

I have not been able to post, but here's the latest. I demanded to see my cardiologist who did an interrogation. There was noise on the lead wire reproduce ed only by moving. We did an xray, the were supposed to keep it low and and show up the next day. On the way home we got into a major accident. So by ambulance, I went right back to the hospital. The Dr. Was afraid to release me. I
So another surgeon took a look and what he called an educated guess of what was wrong. He believed the screen actually penetrated the the heart and was scraping the heart longing which caused periocarditus, and Costal condritus of course from the previous screaming and respitory failure episode. Surgery is done. MAJOR difference. I don't even feel it in me any more. Also the monitor is working more effectively with a stronger signal. I need pt, speech therapy and occupational therapy again from the accident to minimize the potential damage to my head from the accident. Not sure if I posted this before but I am recovering from major tbi 20 months ago. After all this I should be able to walk without a walker and get on with my life.
The bad experience was at Banner Thunderbird in phx az. So guess I need 2 attorney's this week. Gosh, what happened to me? I need a vacation...!
THANK-YOU so my much for your support!!

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.

What country are you living in? this sound as though nobody gives a **it ! I am a patient with an pacemaker/Icd. If I told my doc the symptoms you have I would be in ER asap. When I had my initial implant 8 years ago I was in the ER every other week with less symptoms than you have! They subsided but at least my concerns were addressed> I would call somebody else! Good luck , Hope you are feeling better. Things will get better. I was really scared in the beginning. But I was lloking at the big picture," I am alive". Let me know how you make out < John
