Just a word of advice to women. Get yourself a strapless bra pre-op preferably one that is front fastening. The straps rub on the wound and induce more scarring and redness. It is also impossible to fasten bras for a couple of days as you need to be careful with the attachment of the wires

Thanks for this advice. I get mine on Tuesday and found some looser bras I can try with padding in that one strap.

Hi, I don't wear a bra in the cold weather because my sweatshirts and sweaters hide my girls. I hope it's ok to say that on this site, I'm a newbie. I had the original implant and then the pacemaker replacement surgery in 2004 and getting my third on 2/21. I'm 64, so maybe wearing a bra after the surgery isn't an issue. My scars always fade quickly. Bless you all. I'm thinking a T-shirt or camisole under your top or blouse might hide that you're not wearing a bra while the incision heals.
