With an ICD do you generally feel better? Or do you always need the third lead for improvement?

So the CRT-D is mainly for sudden cardiac arrest?? I have one and I sure do not feel any better...I thought it was also for keeping the heart beat in sync...since I have a LBBB...so if the defib was turned off it should still help the beating in sync right????Have you ever heard of the defib being turned off and the pacemaker left on....Just know it can be done but wondered if anyone had ever done it...and for what reason would anyone have not really needed one....
