Okay so I finally decided to join a gym to work my heart out more. Question for you, I've been doing weights over my head and was told I shouldn't due to possibly pulling out my leads.
Thanks
Wendy

Thank you TraceyE and AngrySparrow. Off to gym today. I'm not overdoing it. WORKING it nice and slow.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
go for it

As long as it's been more than 6 weeks, your dr has cleared you for full activity, and it doesn't feel bad when you do it, you should be able to do anything you want. I do weights, often overhead, most days of the week.
See my post above in reply to the guy asking about Crossfit, there is a full explanation there of why you will not pull a lead.
