New pacemaker and super tired

I just had my pacemaker put in last week for a sinus node dysfunction from a heart ablation I had three years ago. basically my heart rate skips seconds between beats. Got the pacer to help correct this problem. I was doing well first couple of days but now I am super tired and fatigued. I am going in for my first check with the tech tomorrow morning. Can the settings on the pacer be making me this tired?

Could be the PM settings

Discuss your symptoms with the techs. Hopefully they'll be glad to work with you to get your pm settings right (I'm fortunate in that mine are).

You didn't say which model you have but there are similarities. You should find out what some of your PM's basic settings are, like the mode it's set to (DDD, DDDR etc) , lower rate (pm won't pace lower than this rate), upper rate (pm will pace up to this rate). Also make sure you get a copy of the interrogation report. That way if you ask questions on this site you can give some basic info on your device. Depending on your model pm there are many different settings and adjustments that can be made, but I'd be cautious about making multiple changes at one time. Best to change only one at a time, if possible, and go back if you need more tweaks.

For me, I was getting SOB and sluggish and they increased the UTR (upper tracking rate). This helped me From posts on this site it seems that frequently they set this to low to start.

Remember that it can take time to get it adjusted to your needs and keep asking questions here and to your PM techs.

All the best
Kathy

I've never had a problem with my model.
