Chest Pains

Hi All,

I have been experiencing some chest pains over the last week, it started off every now and again, now its happening 4-5+ times per day. Saw my GP on wednesday who did a chest X-ray, ECG and bloods, all seemingly NAD.

Pain is like a knawing, squeezing feeling on my left chest, it is associated with some dizziness. Today it now radiates to my shoulder blade on the left side, with nausea and dizziness. It comes and go's, lasting any time from 2 minute to a half hour.

I am about 10 weeks post op. I am only 21 so I don't know whether to be worried or not, can't get into GP again until tuesday.

I would really, really like to avoid a visit to ED as I have been so well!

Any ideas? Or anyone have similar issues?

It turned out to be indigestion. I was pretty sure it wasnt at the time but as my hospital visits increased and no findings at the time of pain. I started to believe the doctors - they gave me some serious indigestion medication and guess what!! it went away completely. I would like to point out that I have had plenty of heartburn before these events and it felt different to this pain. I was convinced I had angina but I was wrong. I think stress made it worse than ever before. Anyway my symptom were pretty much the same as yours and I had the same tests - same as you nothing !!! And I also had this at around 10 weeks post op. The dizziness was me completely stressing out - yes anxiety really can cause this. So I will be brave enough to say that these symtoms are probably not all related to the same event (dizziness and nausea) Is it worse with any particular activity ? I know it is easy to say dont worry - but like everyone on here told me when I was new to the PM club - DONT WORRY :o) Go see you Doc I have confidence that you are in good shape

Pains got really severe on Saturday so ended up calling the hospital about it, they told me to call an ambulance and come in so i did.

Just been discharged finally, on a heap of pain meds and anti-inflammatories. Still feeling dizzy and unwell, but hopefully ill be better in a few days!
